About this position

We are looking for a NOC Engineer to be a key player in the operations of our leading fintech platform.

The NOC Engineer will come into the company as a member of the Network Operations Center (NOC) team and report to the NOC Manager.
The candidate will be in charge of the monitoring and control of our high transactionality platforms, networks and IT Infrastructure, the orchestration of the resolution of the incidents that arise until their resolution and first level of service desk support.
The NOC Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Monitoring the network, transactional systems and IT infrastructure performance identifying any irregularities or issues to maintain the expected performance and availability of the services.
  • Executing  daily operational activities required to manage IT services and the supporting IT infrastructure.
  • Orchestrating  the resolution of the incidents related with our operational platforms in a timely and efficient manner, managing the communications both with clients and internally using the established channels.
  • Elaborating the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) involving all the relevant actors ensuring that the analysis is carried out in depth and within the established deadlines and registering the POAs as problems for its further analysis and  resolution.
  • Performing first level of support for service requests and incidents.
  • Carrying out routine network and platforms maintenance tasks.
  • Proposing improvements in regards to monitoring, incident management and service desk support.

What You Need To Have

  • Studies in Computer Science, Telecommunications, IT or other relevant field.
  • 3+ years of NOC experience in high transactionality platforms and 1+ years in incident management.
  • Experience with at least 3 of the monitoring and visualization tools Grafana, DataDog, Nagios, Looker, Pandora and Pager Duty.
  • Believe that the mission of building financial infrastructure for Latin America is worth pursuing, and are motivated by reducing the complexity of the existing landscape.
  • Are comfortable with goals that are ambiguous, and can help drive them towards clarity.
  • Leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive mindset, problem-solving attitude and self-taught profile.
  • Capacity for analysis and research.

Nice to have but not mandatory

  • Use of service management tool JIRA.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
